About the Trip

Guwahati may be a sprawling town beside the Brahmaputra within the northeast Indian state of Assam. It’s familiar for holy sites just like the crown Kamakhya Temple, that includes shrines to the Hindu deities Shiva and Vishnu. To the east, 18th-century Navagraha Temple is AN astronomical center with planetary shrines. Umananda Temple, dedicated to Shiva and coated with engravings, stands on Peacock Island within the stream.

GUWAHATI – SHILLONG From : DAY-1

 100 km / 3 hours 

Greetings from Guwahati. Meet our representative at the airport/railway station and travel to Shillong, often known as the "Scotland of the East" (100 kms 3 hrs). The majestic Umiam Lake (Barapani), encircled by sylvan hills and shrouded in the splendour of an assortment of green Khasi-pines and the azure blue skies, maybe seen while traveling. Check into your accommodation when you arrive in Shillong. You can go to the local market in the evening. Shillong is where you will spend the night.

SHILLONG - CHERAPUNJEE – SHILLONG From : DAY-2

Get up early today to take in Shillong's captivating mornings. After an early breakfast, drive to Cherrapunjee (60 km, 112 hours), the world's wettest area. Return to Shillong in the evening after visiting Saimika Park, Eco Park, Dainthlen Falls, Nohkalikai Falls, Nohsngithiang Falls, and Mawsamai Caves. For some stunning vistas, go to Elephanta Falls and Shillong Peak. Shillong is where you will spend the night.

SHILLONG - KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK From : DAY-3

 280 KM / 7 HRS 

Check out of the motel after breakfast. Wards Lake, Lady Hydari Park, and the Don Bosco Museum are all included in a half-day local sightseeing tour. Transfer to Kaziranga National Park, where the “One Horned Rhinoceros” can be found (280 kms 7 hrs). Arrive at your hotel/lodge/resort and check in. The evening is yours to do as you like. Staying in a hotel for the night.

KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK From : DAY-4

 NA 

Early in the morning, visit Kaziranga National Park's Western Zone. Apart from the critically endangered One-horned Rhinoceros, the Park is home to half of the world's genetically pure Wild Water Buffaloes, over 1000 wild elephants, and possibly the densest population of Royal Bengal Tigers anywhere. Kaziranga is also a bird watcher's delight, with over 500 different bird species. Some of the species found here are the Crested Serpent Eagle, Palla's Fishing Eagle, Greyheaded Fishing Eagle, Swamp Partridge, Bar-headed geese, whistling Teal, Bengal Florican, Storks, Herons, and Pelicans. For breakfast, we'll return to the resort. In the afternoon, we've planned a jeep safari across the National Park's Central Zone. Return to the hotel in the evening. Staying in a hotel for the night.

KAZIRANGA - DIRANG From : DAY-5

 260 KM / 7 HRS 

Start early in the morning for Dirang, stopping in Tippi along the way. Tipi, an orchidarium with over 7500 orchids, is located on the banks of the Bharali River at an elevation of 190 metres. Some of the most beautiful kinds, such as the Dainty Lady's Slipper and the more formal sounding Dendrobium, are on display. The state of Arunachal contains the widest variety of orchids in the country. Continue your journey, remembering to have your cameras handy as you pass by gorgeous waterfalls and take in some breathtaking views. Check into your accommodation, then go to the regional apple nursery, kiwi farm, dzong (fort), and hot water spring after lunch. Spend the night in Dirang.

DIRANG – TAWANG From : DAY-6

 140 KM / 6 HRS 

After breakfast, drive to Tawang, stopping to see the war cemetery along the way. Continue driving until you reach Sela Pass, which is located at an elevation of 4114 metres / 13494 feet. It's known for its high-altitude lakes and panoramic splendour, and it's perfect for ice skating in the winter. Upon arrival, check into the hotel and spend the night in Tawang.

TAWANG From : DAY-7

 NA 

Visit Tawang Monstery, Namgye Lhaste, and PT Tso after breakfast. Return to the hotel in the evening. Tawang is where you will spend the night.

TAWANG – BOMDILA From : DAY-8

 190 KM / 7-8 HRS 

After breakfast, drive to Bomdila and check into your accommodation. After lunch, tour the Gontse Rabgyaling Monastery (Upper Gonpa), Thub-Chog Gatsel Ling Monastery (Lower Gonpa), and Bomdila View Point. Bomdila offers a spectacular panoramic view of Himalayan landscapes and snow-capped peaks, as well as the opportunity to explore the local market in the evening. Overnight stay in Bomdila.

BOMDILA – GUWAHATI From : DAY-9

 335 KM / 9-10 HRS 

Transfer to Guwahati after breakfast and check into your accommodation. You have the evening to yourself. Stay in Guwahati for the night.

After breakfast, check out of the hotel and visit Kamakhya Temple before being transferred to Guwahati airport/railway station for your next flight.
