About the Trip
Mandu is an old fort city in Madhya Pradesh, a state in central India. It's enclosed by stone walls with darwazas strewn about (gateways). It is also noted for its architectural legacy from Afghanistan. Hoshang Shah's Tomb, a domed marble mausoleum, and the massive Jami Masjid mosque, with colonnaded courtyards, are also notable structures. Between two lakes lies the majestic, centuries-old Jahaz Mahal palace.

Your thrilling Madhya Pradesh journey begins when you arrive in Indore. It takes about 3 hours to get to Mandu; once there, check into the hotel. Later, go sightseeing in the area, which is peppered with a variety of architectural structures. The Jahaz Mahal (Ship Palace), Hindola Mahal (Swing Palace), Jami Masjid, Jain Temple, Champa Bhaoli, and Rupmati Pavilion are also worth visiting. Return to the hotel and spend the night there.

After breakfast in the morning, go on a brief city tour. The Chattri Bagh, Central Museum, Patal Pani, and Bada Ganapati Temple are all worth seeing. If time allows, you might travel to Ujjain to observe the holy fervor of the devotees along the Shipra river's banks. Return to the hotel and spend the night there at your leisure.
