It is one of Southeast Asia's most beautiful and expansive Buddhist temple complexes. The pagoda's seven stories combine Thai, Burmese, and Chinese artistry and architecture. Later in the day, visit the magnificent Penang Butterfly Farm. This butterfly sanctuary is home to over 120 exotic and native kinds of butterflies. It also has a hatchery and a museum dedicated to "Preserved Butterfly of the World." In Penang, spend the night in a hotel.

Later in the day, pay a visit to the National Monument honoring fallen heroes. The Sultan Abdul Samad Building and the Railway Station both have 19th-century Moorish architecture. The National Museum and the lovely Thean Hou Temple are well worth seeing. Return to the hotel in the evening for a relaxing overnight stay.
