About the Trip
Darjeeling is a town in India's West Bengal state, in the Himalayan foothills. Once a summer resort for the British Raj elite, it remains the terminus of the narrow-gauge Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, or “Toy Train,” completed in 1881. It's famed for the distinctive black tea grown on plantations that dot its surrounding slopes. Its backdrop is Mt. Kanchenjunga, among the world’s highest peaks.

At 4.00 am visit Tiger hill (sunrise over Khanchendzongna) - According to the Discovery Permit, on your way back to visit Ghoom Monastery. Post breakfast at Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, P.N. Zoological Park (closed on Thursday) Tenzing Rock, Tea Garden (outdoor view), Pace Pagoda, Japan Temple, and Rope Way (Ticket Guest Own). In the afternoon return to the hotel and enjoy shopping on the famous shopping street. Night stand in Darjeeling.

This is the start of a half-day trek to Lake Tsomgo (12400ft), just 32kms from Gangtok City, the lake is about 1Km long and 15 meters deep. The lake is considered sacred by the local people; continuously 12Kms visit Father Harvajan Singh Mandir (New). In the afternoon you return to the hotel. Nightstand in Gangtok.
